The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zamboanga Sibugay proudly joined the Conferment of the Municipality of Titay as a “Drug Free Workplace” on April 10, 2025, held at the Municipal Grounds of Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.




This significant event marks a historic milestone, as Titay becomes the first Local Government Unit (LGU) in the province to receive the Drug-Free Workplace recognition. The ceremony began with a heartfelt welcome message from Hon. Lupo Montejo, Jr., Chairman of the Peace and Order Committee, followed by an inspirational message from the Cluster Head of DILG Zamboanga Sibugay, who commended the LGU’s dedication in creating a safe and drug-free working environment. PCOL. Barnard Danie V. Dasugo also delivered an inspiring message to the officials and people of Titay, further emphasizing the value of unity and vigilance in sustaining peace and order. Adding to t Qhe significance of the event, RD Maharani R. Gaodani-Tosoc, Regional Director of PDEA Region IX, gave her message of support and encouragement to the LGU.





The event culminated with the unveiling of the official Drug-Free Workplace marker at the municipal grounds — a proud symbol of Titay’s achievement as a role model in the fight against illegal drugs. Mayor Leonardo B. Talania expressed his gratitude and pride in his response message, while Municipal Administrator Leah P. Talania shared the LGU’s plans and strategic directions moving forward.
