On June 13, 2025, the Sustainable Project Development Team of Region IX led by LGCDD Chief Alvin Rex Lucero together with LGOO III Esra B. Acas, OIC-Program Manager Jay Aris P. Buella, MLGOO of Ipil Harby Hope M. Tagong, MENRO, MAO and MFARO of Ipil conducted a consultation meeting in Barangay Buluan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The primary agenda of the meeting was to validate and discuss the issues identified in the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP), particularly the declining fish catch in the area and to determine the factors contributing to this trend.
During the meeting, the team presented strategic approaches to help address these issues and solicited recommendations and suggestions from community stakeholders on measures to effectively prevent and mitigate the problem. The ultimate objective of this initiative is to help sustain the community’s livelihood and promote its long-term development.
