On July 16, 2025, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cluster Head X formally attended the launching of the Community-Assisted Safety and Security Network (CASSN) at the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Office.

The presence of DILG Cluster Head Benonie A. Galambao underscored the Department’s resolute support for the CASSN initiative. This program seeks to empower local communities by fostering enhanced collaboration with law enforcement agencies thereby improving public safety and security outcomes. During the event, the DILG and other guests emphasized the critical importance of synergy between governmental bodies and the citizenry stating, “The success of our collective efforts is fundamentally contingent upon the active participation of every community member.”

This significant program is anticipated to bolster crime prevention and response mechanisms through improved intelligence gathering and more efficient information dissemination marking a pivotal advancement in community policing for the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
